School Governance Team
School Governance
The purpose of the School Governance Team is to provide parents, school staff, and community members with a leadership role in the management of the school. The School Governance Council is a governing body that is representative of the community and the school but operates under the control and management of the Board of Education.
The SES School Governance Team is composed of three teachers, two community members, three parents (nominated and elected by parents), a business partner, and the principal.
Meetings are open to the public. The team meets to review and provide feedback of school data, budgetary items, and any additional items related to school improvement.
The School's Governance Team follows the SGT By-laws adopted by Barrow County School System.
